Before today I wasn't into Cattle Decapitation (the band anyway) but hey we're all suckers for great cover art and I'll be goddamned if CatDec's (gross) new record The Harvest Floor doesn't qualify with flying colors. It used to be that the more outrageous the band name, the sillier the music (ref. Lawnmower Deth); not so here, judging from singer Travis Ryan's awesome song-by-song comments which accompany The Harvest Floor streaming free at Buzzgrinder. And judging from THF's grindy, catchy awesomeness. The shit is beautiful. I'm in the mood for a steak ... a human steak bwahahahaaa.
